The standard approach—the one nearly everyone takes—is to slap a logo on some off-the-shelf hat that already exists. The world’s landfills are full of hats that are made like this. We reject that outright. That’s not how you build gear that lasts.

We invest the time, effort, and energy to do it our way. We take pride in every stitch, we obsess over every detail, so that it meets our standards.

Since the beginning, like all GORUCK gear we built this Cadre Tac Hat from the ground up, with our patterns and our Specs + Materials using 500D CORDURA® on the main panels and military-grade mesh on the sides — to let a little breeze in, which is really nice in an Iraqi, and a Florida summer. There is no button on the top. This is intentional. There’s nothing to get in the way when you’re wearing hearing protection, and if you’ve ever got kids jumping all over you — it hurts less when they don’t have a button to hit into the top of your skull (IYKYK).

Two of the toughest performance fabrics meet to make the Indestructible Performance Half Zip. The jacket combines the lightweight, hi-tech warmth of the Polartec® Power Grid™ fabric and the abrasion resistance of our ToughDry® Fabric.

The patented grid construction knit of the Grid Fleece strengthens performance efficiency by increasing warmth and breathability, while also reducing fabric mass. These geometric patterns improve compressibility, sweat-wicking, and add technical style. By reinventing thermal warmth possibilities, Power Grid™ is a minimalist design that maximizes fabric performance.

The elbows and shoulders of the indestructible jacket are reinforced with our ToughDry® fabric that is built with Nylon for added abrasion resistance during low crawls and underneath your ruck.
