RUCKS & GEAR
When you hear that click sound, that means it's getting serious. Engage your sternum strap to disperse heavy loads and help transfer the weight forward on your body while rucking.
Keeps your rucksack secure without constricting breath or movement and is adjustable by the MOLLE on the straps. Example: While doing burpees, you may want it a little tighter. While on the move, a little looser. Easy adjustment, on the fly.
While rucks are made to be worn high on the back, Training Sternum Straps can provide reduced jarring and tumbling of your rucksack. Adding a Training Sternum Strap can also change the way weight is dispersed across your chest and shoulders. This added line across the body allows for a quick carabiner clip-in point, too.
Removable and adjustable, Training Sternum Straps attach via clasps to the MOLLE webbing on the shoulder straps of a rucksack for additional stabilization.
Applying a med band to your own elbow or shoulder sucks to do one-handed without the end slipping - even for those of us who Embrace the Suck. So we solved that problem.
We sewed an Anchor Loop onto one end of our Med Bands so that:
(1) If you’re wrapping your own elbow or shoulder to compress it - it’s way easier to do one-handed
(2) You can use the same band to stretch with - attach the Anchor Loop to your badass rig or a tree and get to work.
WHY - I got really bad elbow tendinitis from doing MURPH’s 100 pull-ups a few years ago. I went in cold and gutted it out — but pain, that old friend, became the great teacher. I followed my buddy Dr. Kelly Starrett’s protocols on The Ready State (floss and stretch) and it helped a lot. But one-handed wraps on standard med bands kept making me feel really dumb so we added an Anchor Loop. I’m still really dumb but at least we solved this problem! If you’re doing MURPH this year with the rest of us, use this hard. — Jason
PS this one is long enough that if you want, you can cut it with your Hattori Hanzo sword and then you'll have two (one classic style med band to go with your Anchor Loop Med Band).

While traveling, your (dirty) clothes have a proper home, or you can easily fill it with gravel or dirt wherever you go. Either way, toss it into your ruck and go.
To clean, flip it inside out, hose it off, and hang it to dry fast. You can even make this work out of a sink in a roach motel in Thailand—ask us how we know sometime.
ORIGINS
The Brick Bag was born years ago out of necessity. We always take inspiration from military gear and I had a similar sack back when I was in Iraq in 2007. Its original intent was as a carrying bag for the gear you would need in case of a biochemical attack. By the time I made it over to the Sandbox, that was no longer required. But the bags remained with our team, so I used it as a stuff sack. As we at GORUCK are fond of doing, we trimmed down the excess to create the Brick Bag and give you the opportunity to stuff it full of weight and get a lot stronger. — Jason
Speed laces are 3mm as opposed to standard 5mm. Debris and mud doesn't collect on the 3mm laces and they rinse off and dry faster, and they're faster to tie because there's less bulk. Designed to fit perfectly with our MACV-1 Rucking Boots.
The ISO Cold Forging process provides an extraordinary strength to weight ratio, making this versatile 'biner a lightweight addition to your ruck.

A staple of military style since the Vietnam War, the Boonie Hat has been protecting its wearers from the sun, rain, sand, and snow in the harshest environments on Earth. But instead of taking a basic design and slapping our logo on it, we designed ours from the ground up to build a hat that will thrive in the most unforgiving conditions. Made with the same ToughDry® fabric found in our Performance Tac Hat, our Boonie Hat is designed to be lightweight without compromising durability or water resistance.
